PARENTING WITH POSITIVE DISCIPLINE: Weekend Intensive for Parents of Young Children

Join us to connect with other parents and learn practical tools and strategies to manage everyday parenting challenges.

— SATURDAY, APRIL 30 —
9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
(in-person, with one hour lunch break)

Caring for young children through this pandemic has been challenging and exhausting. Parents need more support and yet we are more disconnected than ever.

This weekend intensive workshop is for parents who are looking to gather in a judgement-free space to learn long-term parenting skills that will encourage their children to think for themselves, become more resilient, responsible, and empathic and have a greater respect for themselves and others.

We will explore the Positive Discipline model of parenting with firmness AND kindness and learn how to help your children feel a sense of belonging and significance through mutual respect and encouragement. Infused within the presentation will also be creative ways of practicing mindfulness to support us through the process of parenting. There will be time to explore specific challenging behaviors and you will walk away with tangible, practical tips and tools you can use immediately to bring more calm and cooperation into the home.

Recommended for parents of children ages 2-7.

The fee for each registration is $395 and reserves a spot for one individual or couple. We want this opportunity to be accessible for all.

The class will be held at the offices of The Helix Center:
1497 Chain Bridge Road, Suite 202
McLean, VA 22101
