Sara Tuke Carr has practiced therapy since 2006 and is a Licensed Professional Counselor in both Virginia and Maryland. Along with her therapy and supervision practice, she provides workshops and trainings to mental health professionals, and school personnel. Sara has co-led therapeutic classes such as MindUp and the Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Skills class.

Sara’s therapeutic interests include working with adolescents and adults, as well as parents to improve understanding and relationships. Her therapeutic specialities include anxiety, attention/focus difficulties, depression, and improving family communication and strategizing. Sara believes that clients and families are best served in a client-centered approach, drawing from the practices of cognitive behavioral therapy and mentalization.
