This intensive, hands-on training provides mental health professionals with practical tools to implement Mentalization-Based Treatment approaches when working with adolescents and young adults. Mentalization—the ability to understand one's own and others' mental states—forms the foundation for emotional regulation, secure attachment, and healthy interpersonal functioning. Like DBT, MBT-A is an evidenced-based treatment for BPD and emotional instability, and is effective for a wide variety of challenges facing adolescents and young adults. As one of the premiere treatments in Europe, MBT has gained substantial recognition for successfully addressing complex clinical presentations. This clinically-focused workshop emphasizes real-world application through case conceptualization and guided practice. Participants will leave equipped with concrete skills they can immediately integrate into their clinical work with young people struggling with emotion regulation, identity formation, and relationship challenges.
