Ehvyn Wilson, LCSW
Ehvyn Wilson, LCSW, is a psychotherapist specializing in parent therapy and family support. She empowers parents navigating the challenges of raising children with anxiety, depression, ADHD, disordered eating, and other mental health concerns. Ehvyn is trained in Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE) and helps parents become powerful agents of change in their child's treatment. She values using a person-centered, strengths-based approach to build collaborative relationships with the families she serves, creating a safe, trusting environment where parents can develop effective strategies and confidence in their parenting.
Ehvyn also provides therapy services to adolescents and young adults, bringing a warm, empathetic presence while maintaining a pragmatic, change-oriented focus. She believes her role is to understand each client's unique life experiences and support them in achieving their "life worth living" goals.
Ehvyn grew up in Duluth, Minnesota and moved to the DC area to attend Georgetown University, where she received a bachelor's degree in sociology with a minor in psychology. She received her master's degree in clinical social work from Columbia University. Her clinical training includes work at Children's National Hospital performing biopsychosocial assessments and supporting adolescents in nutritional rehabilitation. Ehvyn is passionate about addressing the social-emotional needs of students and spent several years as a school social worker with Arlington Public Schools, where she strengthened partnerships with families, facilitated social-emotional learning, and provided services to students with individualized education programs.
Ehvyn has extensive experience working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, self-harm behaviors, demand avoidance, ADHD, and disordered eating. She draws from evidence-based treatments including SPACE, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, mindfulness, mentalization, and motivational interviewing to promote lasting change.
