Christiane graduated with an MA in Counseling and is a Resident, working towards licensure in Virginia. She is a National Certified Counselor (NCC) currently under the supervision of Sara Tuke Carr, LPC. She enjoys working with children, adolescents, individual adults, and couples. Christiane’s areas of interest include attachment issues, trauma, grief, interpersonal relationship issues, anxiety, loneliness, and life transitions. She works from a primarily person-centered approach that has as its core value unconditional positive regard for every individual. Christiane integrates various theoretical viewpoints and techniques to fit the individual client's needs. If requested, she will integrate a faith-based perspective. She is working towards becoming a Registered Play Therapist.
Christiane believes that everyone (child and adult) has within them the capacity to be the best version of themselves. She seeks to offer a caring, non-judgmental space where clients can sort through difficult passages of life’s journey. She is honored to support and encourage clients as they grow in awareness and understanding of their unique selves.
