Joy Messina, MA
Joy graduated with a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and is currently a Resident in Counseling, working toward licensure in Virginia. She has experience providing individual therapy and psychoeducational group facilitation in a non-profit setting, and is passionate about working with children and adolescents.
Joy integrates a Person-Centered therapeutic focus with Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral (DBT) therapies. She is also trained in Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT).
