This in-person, two-day workshop equips participants with practical, experiential tools for supporting parents and caregivers in building stronger, more respectful relationships with children.

Grounded in Adlerian principles, Positive Discipline provides a framework for understanding the adult-child relationship and a practical toolbox for responding to challenging behaviors while strengthening connection. Through experiential activities, case examples, and real-world application, participants will deepen their understanding of what drives children’s behavior and how adults can respond in ways that foster belonging, significance, cooperation, responsibility, and growth.

Participants will earn recognition as a Certified Positive Discipline Parent Educator through the Positive Discipline Association and will:

  • Deepen their understanding of how Adlerian principles can inform work with parents and caregivers.

  • Learn practical tools from the Positive Discipline framework, a research-based, trauma-informed approach that can be integrated immediately into clinical, counseling, educational, and family-support settings.

  • Build a ready-to-use toolbox of materials, strategies, and experiential activities to enhance work with parents and caregivers.

  • Engage in experiential learning, case examples, and group discussions designed to translate Positive Discipline principles into meaningful, practical support for parents and families.
